Your Guide to your session

Questions Ill ask to make your session truly yours

Every session is about you—your story, your vibe, and what makes you, well, you. Before we meet, I’ll ask some simple questions that help me understand your style, personality, and what you want to capture. This way, your photos feel personal, natural, and totally tailored to your story.

✨ What kind of vibe are you envisioning? (Romantic, playful, moody, cozy, candid, etc.)

🎨 Do you have a theme, style, or inspiration you'd love to incorporate? (Pinterest boards are welcome!)

📸 Do you prefer more posed or natural/candid shots?

💑 Are there any specific poses, moments, or emotions you definitely want captured?

🧍‍♀️ Do you like more close-up shots, full body, or a mix?

🗺️ What kind of location feels most you? (Fields, urban, nature, etc.)

👕 What are you thinking of wearing? Need any help with outfit ideas?

💬 Is there anything you’re nervous about, or something I should know to help you feel comfortable in front of the camera?

"WHAT DO I WEAR"

CLIENT STYLE GUIDE

I know picking what to wear can feel like a whole thing, so I made this simple style guide to help you show up feeling confident, comfortable, and totally yourself. Scroll to your session type for tips that’ll make getting ready feel way easier.

SENIORS

This is your moment, so let’s make it feel like you.

Outfits should feel true to your style but just a little more elevated than everyday. Think solid colors, simple layers, and pieces you’ll still love looking back on later.

• Neutrals, earth tones, and soft colors photograph best.

• Skip big logos, neon, or anything that might feel cringe later (you know what I mean).

• Personal touches are so welcome—bring props that reflect who you are. Sports gear, musical instruments, your favorite book, grad cap, or something unique to your vibe.

COUPLES

Let’s make it feel like a cozy date with a camera tagging along.

The goal is connection, not coordination. You don’t have to match—just wear outfits that feel like they belong in the same story.

• Stick to a shared color palette—neutrals, pastels, warm tones, or earth tones are always good.

• Layers and texture (sweaters, flowy dresses, denim) = extra pretty in photos.

• Keep it comfy enough to cuddle, dance, walk around, and be playful.

• Want to bring something personal? Think cozy blankets, your favorite drinks, a picnic setup, a shared hobby item, or even your pup (just let me know ahead!).

FAMILIES

For Families

The goal is effortless, not perfect.

Start with one outfit (usually mom’s!) and build the rest around that. Choose 2–3 soft, complementary colors and work with textures and layers to add some variety.

• Neutral and earthy tones are always timeless—think cream, brown, tan, olive, denim.

• Avoid matching outfits exactly. Coordination > copy-paste.

• Keep little ones comfy and distraction-free (no neon or cartoons).

• Props are totally welcome—snuggly blankets, toys that match your vibe, heirlooms, or anything meaningful to your crew.

• Want to include your dog or baby carrier? I’m here for it. Let’s make it you.

Your go-to Style Checklist

Keep it comfortable

If you don’t feel good in what you’re wearing, it’ll show. Choose outfits that you can move in and feel confident wearing. We’ll be walking, laughing, sitting—so comfort is key.

Neutrals & soft tones > loud prints

Earthy tones, pastels, creams, and warm neutrals always photograph beautifully outdoors. Try to avoid neon, tiny stripes, or busy patterns that distract from you.

Personal touches are always welcome

Props, accessories, heirlooms, or anything meaningful to you—bring them! These little details make your photos more you.

Trust the process

You don’t need to be a model or know what to do. I’ll guide you the whole way—we’ll laugh, move, and create something real together.

Avoid logos & graphic

Big text or branded tees pull attention away from faces. Stick to clean, simple pieces unless it’s part of your vibe.

Don’t forget the little things

Clean nails, polished shoes, and wrinkle-free clothes go a long way! Bring a hairbrush, lip balm, water, and any touch-up items you might need.

Bring a backup

It never hurts to toss an extra outfit in your bag—especially for kids, muddy spots, or if the vibe shifts mid-session.

Looking at Pinterest boards is awesome for ideas!

Just remember to pick looks and vibes that feel like you—not just a copy of someone else’s shoot. Your session should reflect your unique style and personality. And if you ever want to chat outfit ideas or need a second opinion, just reach out—I’m here to help!
